In addition to video tutorials, she also creates content for the Flexmls Help website and the Help With This Page guidance in Flexmls. As a true grammar nerd and bookworm, Ariadne will passionately argue the importance of the serial comma (and why the book is always better than the movie). Outside of work, Ariadne enjoys creating music, spending quality time with her family, and being the official, unpaid photographer and videographer for her pets.

If you regularly work within specific cities, counties, or ZIP codes, this video will walk you through how to set those filters once and skip the repetitive setup each time you run a search. When you set a search as the default, your preferred filters, and even specific values, will automatically apply whenever you create a search.

You can set a search as your default search in Flexmls. If you regularly search within specific cities, counties, map drawn shapes, or zip codes, you can set those criteria once and have them applied automatically each time you start a search. To set a search as your default, click Quick Search and select the search filters you want to include. Enter the data in each of those search filters.

In this example, I’ll select and modify the filters for city and status.

Once you have completed your selections, click Save and select Set as default search. In the prompt that appears, click Confirm. You can also select the Don’t show again checkbox if you do not want to see this prompt again the next time you set a default search. Once you click Confirm, a message at the top of the screen indicates that that search has been saved as your default search.

Now, each time you run a search, those search criteria you specified will automatically be applied. If you set a default search and then change search templates, your saved search filters will remain. Only search fields that do not apply to a search template will be dropped. To reset your search filters and remove any saved search criteria, click the Reset Filters button. This will clear all the filters you have set for your default search.

You can also view and access your default search under Save Searches. In the Flexmls menu, navigate to Search and click Save searches. Your default search is listed under User defined default search. If you set a default search on desktop, that default search will automatically be carried over and applied on mobile.

The Set as default search button is also available in your Actions panel on the iOS and Android app, as well as Flexmls mobile web. Please note that when running a location based search on mobile, that search will disable any pre filtered default search fields.
